Sui (水の型), (סוי נו קאטה) is one of the most important kata in Ninjutsu. It is a Gyokku ryu kata and a part of the Go Gyo no kata


Classical kata description

Left seigan no kamae, Jodan yuke inside, Tsuki step, Omote Shuto ken to uko.


Sui no kata Henka description

Uke attacks tori with tsuki, tori blocks from shizen tai to bobi no kamae with uchi jodan yuke, and attacks with a shuto with his other hand to uke's neck.
