Shita mawashi dori is a Ninjutsu Double hand release from below.

Background

This technique is performed against an opponent who hold the user by the wrists. When done properly it can work against bigger, stronger opponents and mainly requires proper technique rather than power to be effective.

Description of the Technique

This release works when being held by both wrists by an opponent. Move both elbows upwards (so that the user's forearms will be paralel to the opponent's) while stepping forwards so the opponent will not be able to reposition himself. The wrists will be released automatically as the opponent will not be able to hold them at that angle.
