Combat

Combat (לחימה) or Tatakai (戦い in Japanese), is a limited time, practical, physical form of an aggressive struggle that is intended as a means to enforce the will of one side upon the other mainly through the use of violence.

Combatants can use a wide array of weapons and forceful sanctions but the scope of these uses can be limited, because of international or local laws.

War is an extremely aggressive confrontation between large groups of people that is organized and is accompanied by the use of excessive force with colateral, unintended damage. A war always include combats but an isolated combat can happen outside of war.
