Waza

Waza (技) is in Japanese `technique`, or `skill`. Used in the martial arts to name the actual movements and maneuvers which consist the physical aspect of a martial art. There are several groups of techniques which refer to a common field of application like Newaza (寝技)- ground techniques, or Tachiwaza, (立ち技)- standing techniques.
